CONSTITUTION OF ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE

Academic Year 2025-26

The mechanism of educational institutions should incorporate Anti-Ragging Committee as one of the important parts as per the guidelines of UGC under the act of 1956, which is modified as UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions, 2009.

Anti-Ragging Committee will be the supervisory and advisory committee in preserving the culture of ragging free environment in the college campus. The institution has been addressing ragging issues, if any, of various students through the committee.

The committee for the Academic year 2025-26 is constituted with the following members.

OBJECTIVES:

The main objectives of this committee are as follows:

  • To prohibit any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
  • To make the students aware of the dehumanizing effect of ragging.
  • To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
  • To establish a cordial relationship between seniors and juniors.
  • To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that the students should co-operate to maintain the healthy environment.
  • All the members are requested to make every effort to keep the campus ragging free.
  • To promptly and stringently discipline students bending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.
